**Paradox** is a [[:daemons:|daemon]] which temporarily prevents the use of [[:Incognita]]. While Paradox is active, [[:programs:]] cannot be actively used, but it does not prevent passive effects of programs. Paradox has a duration of 2--3 turns.

Paradox does not stop [[:programs:Parasite]] or [[:programs:Parasite#Parasite 2.0]] from breaking [[:firewalls]] on devices which are already infected, although new devices cannot be infected while Paradox is active. Paradox does not stop you from [[:Incognita#Incognita view]] to toggle [[:mainframe devices:Power Supply|Power Supplies]] or activate a [[:items:Cry Baby]], [[:items:Flash Pack]] or [[:agents:Derek]]'s [[:items:Transport Beacon]].
