**Nanofab shoulders** is an affliction affecting the shoulders and neck, caused by the tenseness of shopping at a [[:mainframe devices:Nanofabricator]] under 30-seconds [[:modes:Time Attack]] pressure, especially in a [[:missions:Nanofab Vestibule]] where there is more to choose from, and the Nanofab is going to [[:rebooting|reboot]] if you close the menu to check what items a different agent has.

The tension is exacerbated by the fact that the menu obscures the Time Attack timer, so you do not know whether you will still have time to move your agent into [[:cover]] after making your decision. You only know how much time you still have left when the final ten seconds beeping begins, at which point you are likely to make poor impulse-shopping decisions that will sabotage your campaign, lose time while the devices are rebooted, and get your agent shot.
