| **Consoles** are devices found in all [[:facility|facilities]]. Consoles can be [[#hijacking|hijacked]] to gain [[:PWR]], or to gain [[:credits]] using an [[:items:Econ Chip]]. Each Console can only be used once. |

| Consoles provide [[:cover#soft cover]], allowing agents to hide on adjacent tiles. The locations of all Consoles in the facility can be revealed by hacking a [[:mainframe devices:databases#Console Database]]. |

| A Console can be hijacked by an agent on an adjacent tile, or by [[:agents:Internationale]] from up to 6 tiles away using her [[:augments:Wireless Emitter]] augment. When a Console is hijacked, it gives [[:PWR]] equal to the Console's base PWR plus any bonus from the agent's [[:skills#Hacking]] skill. |

| Consoles can be hijacked using [[:items:Accelerator Chips]] for additional PWR, or using an [[:items:Econ Chip]] to gain [[:credits]] instead of PWR. |

| The number of Consoles in a facility depends on the [[:corporations:|corporation]]. |

| * [[:corporations:FTM]], [[:corporations:K&O]] and [[:corporations:Plastech]] facilities have 5--6 Consoles, depending on whether there is a Console in the [[:facility#starting room]]. |
| * [[:corporations:Sankaku]] facilities have 6--7 Consoles, depending on whether there is a Console in the [[:facility#starting room]]. |
| * [[:corporations:OMNI]] facilities have 7 Consoles, always including one in the [[:facility#starting room]]. |

| Additionally, there are always two extra Consoles in the [[:facility#objective rooms|objective room]] of a [[:missions:Server Farm]] mission. |

| The total base PWR of all Consoles in a facility is always 10, except when using [[:modes:custom]] campaign settings to change the number of Consoles. This means that the average base PWR is lower when the facility has more Consoles. |

| Consoles have higher base PWR when they are further away from the [[:facility#starting room]] and the [[:facility#exit room]]; this information can be used to [[:strategy:finding_the_exit|estimate the location]] of the exit room. |
