Paradox icon

Paradox is a daemon which temporarily prevents the use of Incognita. While Paradox is active, programs cannot be actively used, but it does not prevent passive effects of programs. Paradox has a duration of 2–3 turns.

Paradox does not stop Parasite or Parasite 2.0 from breaking firewalls on devices which are already infected, although new devices cannot be infected while Paradox is active.
