Failsafe

Failsafe is a special daemon which is triggered as a scripted event in the OMNI Mainframe mission. It reboots and recaptures 2 random hacked mainframe devices per turn, for a duration of 3 turns. The recaptured devices will have 1 firewall each.

Failsafe can target most hacked devices, but some devices — drones, OMNI Protectors, and the Security Hub and Mainframe Lock — are specifically exempt. If Failsafe has no valid targets, then it has no effect on that turn.

Failsafe is only triggered as a scripted event in the OMNI Mainframe mission; it cannot be triggered at any other time, and is never installed on a mainframe device. Failsafe also cannot be reversed.
