Description

The image shows presumably an FTM department head's display screen divided into four sections, with an FTM logo in the corner. Leftmost is a conversation log between Central and Monst3r with their portraits displayed next to the messages. In the middle, taking up most of the screen, is a front view schematic of a drone named with a Sankaku logo and the model name MEDAMA in large letters. Individual components of the drone are labelled, but the text is redacted. Schematics for drones of different makes are barely out of sight next to it, like the window can be swiped left to right to examine various drones. At the bottom is a window showing a shipping manifest, with shipments of the drone to everywhere around the world represented by lines over a globe, all originating from Tokyo, Japan (Sankaku territory). At the bottom right-hand corner, there is an email or message window showing a communique from FTM addressed to all department heads. Embedded in the message is a small schematic image of a person surrounded by a crackling blue field. At the very bottom of the image is a section with the Invisible, Inc. game logo, the Klei logo, the name of the update (Active Recon Update) and the date of this update's release (September 16th, 2014).

Conversation transcript

Monst3r
Found something you might find interesting on my last run.
09/15/2074 22:36:10

Central
I'm listening…
09/15/2074 22:39:14

Monst3r
I was knee-deep in a Sankaku datastore. Well, I think it was Sankaku. I was bouncing off a lot of relay nodes by that point. No, wait, I had to shift the Kobol filter three steps out of band, so it was definitely Sankaku. They always keep their resonators on prime –
09/15/2074 22:39:55

Central
Get to the point. I've got a company to run.
09/15/2074 22:39:56

Monst3r
It's called Project MEDAMA. Some new-type drone, I think. The serial numbers correlate with shipping manifests going all over the place. I've never seen a non-consumer rollout this big before.
09/15/2074 22:40:12

Central
They're selling it to other corps?
09/15/2074 22:40:18

Monst3r
Beats me. A daemon patrol picked up my trace and I had to bounce. But I can sell you the manifests and some specs I managed to download before I cut the line.
09/15/2074 22:40:25

Central
Half up front, and and [sic] half once we verify the source.
09/15/2074 22:40:27

Monst3r
How did you get so paranoid?
09/15/2074 22:41:32

Central
I earned it the hard way, like anyone else who's still alive.
09/15/2074 22:41:59
