A mainframe device is any device with firewalls which can be hacked. Hacking a mainframe device typically disables it, allows it to be used by the agency in some way, or otherwise gives some advantage.
Mainframe devices also include drones and some human guards, which are not listed below. Some devices are specific to particular missions or side-missions.

Scanning Amp | Appears only in FTM facilities. While active, it detects an agent's location at each alarm level. | |
Secondary Server Terminal | Allows an agent to buy and sell programs. | |
Security Camera | Provides vision to the enemy in an area, causing a guard to investigate if an agent is seen. Can be controlled to give vision to the player. | |
Sound Bug | Appears only in Sankaku facilities, and some Vaults. Can detect noise, to alert nearby guards. | |
Turret | Appears only in K&O facilities. Shoots agents within its vision; can be controlled to shoot guards with up to 2 armor. Connected to a Power Supply, which is always adjacent. |

There are some devices which are not mainframe devices since they do not have firewalls that can be hacked, but which can nonetheless be disabled by rebooting them.

Flash Pack | Can be deployed by an agent, and detonated by Incognita to deal 2 KO damage to guards in a radius of 3 tiles. |
Laser Panel | Appears only in K&O facilities. Emits a lethal laser beam which cannot be walked through by agents, and deals lethal damage if it hits an agent when activating. Connected to a Power Supply, which can be hacked to control the Laser Panel in order to block guards' paths or kill them. |
Infrared Emitter | Appears only in OMNI and Sankaku facilities. Emits a laser beam which triggers a random daemon when an agent walks through it. Connected to a Power Supply. |
